The latest development in the partnership between Sony and Borders is great news for American digital consumers as both bricks and mortar and online commerce will be extended—but what about Canadian consumers? The Sony Reader has been available in the US since last spring and still no move north of the 49th parallel.
Sony: we read. We read a lot. We use iPods and Blackberries and even Illiads from time to time. Why no access to Sony Readers for us? The new online store you’re launching conquers the potential geographic limitations and obviously you’re not going to be undone by shipping costs. We’re pretty interested in employing our newly super-powered Canadian dollars to buy content.
Um…what are we waiting for?
