Michael Tamblyn was the founding CEO of BookNet Canada, Canada’s book industry supply chain and technology innovation agency, in March 2003. 979 ISBNs Assigned in Franceposted on June 2, 2009From the Book Industry Study Group The first 979-prefixed ISBN registration group element, 979-10, has been assigned to the Paris-based French National ISBN Agency, AFNIL, according to a special announcement today by the International ISBN Agency. The global book industry is encouraged to pay attention to this news: it will lead to the appearance of the first 979-prefix ISBNs in the international book supply chain. eBook Sales Up 110% in Q1 2009posted on May 20, 2009eBook sales statistics for March 2009 have been released from the Association of American Publishers (AAP) who collects these statistics in conjunction with the IDPF.
